WELCOME TO THE RUSS HOUSE

About us: The Russ House is a historic boutique bed and breakfast located in the heart of Tombstone, Arizona, just steps from Historic Allen Street. Guests are within easy walking distance of many of Tombstone’s most popular attractions, including the Tombstone Courthouse State Historic Park, the Good Enough Mine Tour, the O.K. Corral®, shops, restaurants, saloons, and museums.

The Russ House offers 5 Standard Rooms and 1 Master Suite. Each room includes a queen bed with a Serta mattress, air conditioning, and comfortable accommodations designed with a nod to what a discerning traveler may have experienced in the late 1800s.

The Russ House is not a modern chain hotel. There is no pool, no lobby, and no front desk. Instead, guests enjoy a clean, comfortable, historic property with contactless self-check-in, a street entrance, nearby parking, and a location that places them right in the heart of  the Tombstone Historic District.

Breakfast at The Longhorn Restaurant is included with your stay.

The Russ House has its own special place in Tombstone history. Sal Anderson and Jacob Smith opened The Russ House in December 1880 as a boarding house and hotel with one of the largest restaurants in Tombstone. The property is closely connected to Nellie Cashman, known as the “Angel of Tombstone,” who operated The Russ House until 1886.

Nellie Cashman and Joseph Pascholy co-owned and operated the restaurant and hotel, serving meals to miners, travelers, and those in need. Nellie was known for her generosity, hospitality, and strong spirit, never turning away the hungry or desperate of the silver camp.
